King’s Seafood is coming soon to 6921 Ambassador Caffery Parkway at the corner of South Bernard Road, next to Fat Pat’s.
Back in early 2022, the property was announced as the future home of a New Orleans-based concept called Coterie. However, that project did not move forward locally, as the company focused on a new Mississippi location. The Broussard site was later listed for sale and has since been acquired by King’s Seafood.

King’s Seafood currently operates in New Iberia and Abbeville. The Broussard location would be its third area restaurant. The concept is similar in style to other Cajun-Asian seafood restaurants, offering a mix of Louisiana seafood and Asian dishes.
Expected menu items include po-boys, fried seafood, fish, shrimp, and crawfish, along with items such as lo mein, fried rice, and egg rolls, and other Asian dishes based on offerings at existing locations.

Site work began this past week. There is no confirmed opening date. Based on typical construction timelines for a project of this size, completion is estimated at approximately 4 to 6 months, weather permitting, which would place a potential opening between late summer and early fall.
The South Bernard Road and Ambassador Caffery corridor has seen steady commercial development over the past decade.
