Campbell Academy South Opening New Early Childhood Education Campus In Broussard, LA

on

A new state-licensed child care facility, called Campbell Academy South, will open soon at 637 West Main Street in Broussard, Louisiana.

The new Broussard campus, known as Campbell Academy South, will offer early childhood education programs for infants through Pre-K students in a campus designed around academics, structure, and child development.

Located inside a newly renovated 2,600-square-foot property along West Main Street, the campus follows the same educational philosophy and operational model as Campbell Academy’s original location in North Lafayette, which owner Sherrie Campbell says reached full enrollment within months of opening.

The new South location includes multiple classrooms separated by age groups, secure entry access, indoor and outdoor play areas, and dedicated learning spaces tailored to each stage of development. Campbell said the property was intentionally selected and renovated to feel less like a traditional commercial daycare facility and more like a warm, welcoming educational environment for children and families.

The renovated campus includes infant, toddler, two-year-old, Pre-K 3, and Pre-K 4 classrooms, many featuring glass classroom doors designed to improve visibility and supervision throughout the facility. Campbell Academy also places a strong focus on early developmental milestones, assisting kids in each phase of their development.

Outdoor areas include fenced play spaces, porch-style walkways, and open green space designed to encourage exploration and play in a more nature-focused environment.

“We understand that early childhood education is crucial for a child’s future success, and we are committed to providing a high-quality program that meets the needs of each child,” said Sherrie Campbell, owner of Campbell Academy.

Little Nooks

Campbell Academy South will also host summer camp sessions for enrolled students while continuing enrollment for the upcoming school year.

Before opening Campbell Academy, Campbell spent roughly 20 years working in education, including classroom teaching, student admissions, travel coordination, and cheerleading coaching within the Lafayette Parish School System. She says the move into early childhood education was a natural extension of her career working directly with children.
