Kay Jewelers is relocating from its longtime spot inside the Acadiana Mall to a newly renovated shopping center at 4419 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Suite 400.
The jeweler is setting up shop alongside national brands like Lululemon and Sephora, creating a cluster of high-profile retailers outside of the traditional mall setting.
Kay has been a familiar name at the Acadiana Mall for decades, serving as one of the anchor jewelry stores for holiday shoppers and special-occasion gift buyers. Its move follows a broader retail shift we’ve seen in Lafayette, where brands like Buckle and others have transitioned from enclosed mall spaces to high-visibility shopping centers along Ambassador Caffery.
The new location places Kay in the Super Target corridor, one of the busiest stretches of retail in Lafayette.
We gave the Kay Jewelers location inside the mall a quick call and confirmed that they are in fact relocating. The tentative move and opening date is set for late October or early November.
