A new locally owned interior consignment shop, Hart & Cole, is opening soon at 258 Bendel Road, Suite 101, in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Founded locally by Stephanie Navarro, Hart & Cole will feature a mix of new-to-you home furnishings and interior pieces through a shop-and-consign concept, giving customers a place to find unique items for their homes while also providing an opportunity for others to sell their gently used pieces.
For Navarro, the new shop is a return to something familiar. She previously operated a shop at 2513 Johnston Street and has decided to get back into the business, this time alongside her daughter, Hart.
Navarro says that she has always enjoyed finding a great deal and mixing older pieces with newer ones, which is part of the inspiration behind the new business.
The new Hart & Cole space is about 1,400 square feet, which is less than half the size of the previous shop on Johnston Street. Due to the smaller square footage, the business will be more selective about which items they can physically accept for consignment. However, customers will still have the option to sell items through Hart & Cole’s social media pages and website, even if those pieces cannot be accommodated inside the store.
Navarro says that she is excited to reopen a shop in Lafayette and looks forward to reconnecting with many of her previous customers while introducing the business to new ones.
Hart & Cole is tentatively set to open in early November 2026.
