A new locally owned juice and smoothie shop called YUMZ is coming soon to 302 Jefferson Street in Downtown Lafayette, LA.
This site was originally planned to become Bahn Mi House. However, for reasons not shared with us, those plans were halted.
Founded by Adam LaFleur, also known professionally as Adam Wise and oddiiisee, YUMZ will offer a selection of fresh juices, smoothies, and natural bowls, along with a small mini-mart featuring homemade products.

The new business will occupy a roughly 950-square-foot space that will be renovated to create a casual space where customers can grab something fresh, hang out, and enjoy a selection of natural food and drink options.
Originally from Eunice, LaFleur attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has spent many years involved in the local music and cultural scene. A longtime musician and artist, LaFleur also works as a music engineer at Dream Studios in Lafayette.
According to the Wise, the goal is to bring a clean, fun option to Louisiana’s food culture while also helping educate the community about the foods they consume and ways to live healthier.
Current inside view
Once open, YUMZ plans to introduce a monthly fresh market in Downtown Lafayette featuring local produce. The idea is to bring more activity downtown, continuing the trend of growth the area has seen in recent years.
A word from the Wise: following the opening of the first YUMZ location, they plan to expand with other locations throughout the region.
A tentative soft opening date is set for January 1, 2027.
