PopShelf, a unique retail concept that is said to combine the convenience of a dollar store with the quality and style of Target, is coming soon to the former ULTA Beauty space located at 609 Settlers Trace Blvd.
PopShelf is a subsidiary of Dollar General, a leading retail company, and has gained popularity with its innovative approach to affordable shopping.
Inside of the former ULTA space
The company first opened stores in Nashville, Tennessee in the fall of 2020. Since then PopShelf has quickly expanded its footprint across the majority of the Southern portion of the states with a few more Northern states included. As of October 2022, there are already 95+ PopShelf locations.
“Shopping at a Popshelf store is nothing like visiting their parent company Dollar General,” said Thekrazycouponlady.com. “If Target and a dollar store had a baby, Popshelf would be their child.”

PopShelf aims to provide an enjoyable, “clutter-free” shopping experience by offering a curated selection of high-quality products across various categories, including household essentials, beauty and personal care, home decor, craft & party supplies, and much more. Their price point is very similar to what you’d find at the popular Five Below stores that are popping up around the country. You can expect most of the prices to be around the $3-$5 mark with some hitting the $10 range.
Dollar General has ambitious plans for PopShelf, aiming to open a total of 1,000 stores by the end of the 2025 fiscal year.
The tentative opening date for PopShelf is not yet known, but we could see it open by the end of the Summer of this year. You know, you gotta be open before the 2023 Holiday season. Check out their website at www.popshelf.com.
