*Updated 2019 – Pei Wei and PF Changs are not coming to Lafayette. This post mentions confirmation that they were looking toward find a location, but did not succeed.
P.F. Changs has a little sister guys. Her name is Pei Wei. Pei Wei has confirmed active steps into finding a location to build in Lafayette. The fast casual concept of Pei Wei is to provide a similar food style as P.F. Changs but with a faster personal sized entree. There are a couple of locations in the New Orleans area and they do well. One of which is also located next to a P.F. Changs.
Some of the menu is almost exact to the larger counter part. Including great items like Lettuce Wraps, Spring Rolls, Sweet & Sour Chicken with Rice. Yes I said it, LETTUCE WRAPS! So Acadiana, I would consider this a step in the right direction in getting a P.F. Changs in the future.
