Tsubaki By Koi Relocating To Former Shane’s Space On Pinhook Road In Lafayette, LA

on

Tsubaki By Koi, a locally owned Japanese restaurant known for its sushi, hibachi, and celebratory atmosphere, is relocating from its longtime location at 3564 Ambassador Caffery Parkway to 803 W. Pinhook Road in Lafayette, formerly occupied by Shane’s.

You can still find Shane’s at their Congress Street location at 3822 W. Congress Street. See more: https://developinglafayette.com/wp/shanes-famous-quesadilla-burgers-relocating-expanding-to-former-smittys-wings-space-on-congress/.

According to Tsubaki by Koi, the move comes as its lease at the Ambassador Caffery location has ended. We are also told that major construction is planned for the former site, which partly contributed to the decision to relocate.

The new space will not include traditional tableside hibachi cooking, the restaurant says customers can still expect the same food and team that made Tsubaki a local favorite. Hibachi dishes will continue to be served, with meals prepared in the kitchen by the same chef, alongside the restaurant’s sushi and other Japanese-inspired menu items.

The restaurant will also continue its catering services along with birthday, anniversary, and graduation celebrations that have become a signature part of the Tsubaki experience.

Full renovations are currently underway at the new Pinhook location with the project being about 60% complete. Painting and final furniture placement are still ahead before opening the doors.

A tentative opening date has not yet been announced, but the restaurant says it is nearing completion and will share opening times soon.
