Lafayette is surely without void of great burgers, and they just keep on a comin’. A fast growing burger place called Smashburger is coming to the Whole Foods shopping center at 4231 Ambassador #103. The permit is public and construction should start really soon, if it hasn’t already. So what is Smashburger, and what makes them different? The name Smashburger derives from smashing the burger while it is being cooked. There are many debates on whether it is best to cook burgers with or without pressing, or smashing in this case. I won’t go into a debate, but I’ve cooked a many of burgers in my early adult life, and what I’ve come to learn is that smashed or not, a good burger is usually never questioned. Check out their (site).
