Acadiana’s largest automotive dealer, Sterling Automotive Group, is building a brand new Hyundai/Genesis dealership at 6500 Johnston Street—across from Jet Coffee.
The groundwork for the new, larger dealership has already begun, which is why we are posting. It is said that once completed, it will be one of—if not the—largest Hyundai/Genesis locations in the country.
Currently, Sterling Hyundai/Genesis is located at 5001 Johnston Street. A location that has served the company well but has outgrown over time.
It is unknown at this time what will happen to the current location once the new location is completed. It is possible that Sterling Automotive will convert the space into one of their expanding entities, like Sterling Premium Select locations.
As a brand, Hyundai has made significant strides toward becoming an ultra-reliable, well-designed collection of cars & suvs. I may be a little biased as I own a 2019 Hyundai Elantra; though, I am not a fanboy of the brand. It is just a nice, reliable machine with great gas mileage. We recently drove to Destin, FL and averaged 44 MPG with an average speed of 75 MPH. I’ll that it.
The tentative completion date of the new Sterling Hyundai/Genesis is estimated for Summer of 2021.
