The newest Downtown Lafayette apartment community, Lofts at the Municipal, located at 124 E. Main Street, is now officially complete and open.

We attended the official, invite-only ribbon cutting today. The event was filled with tons of elbows to rub, and there was a lot of elbow-rubbing going on. Though, we only rubbed elbows with those we knew already, mostly. There were plenty of others that we knew there, but they were rubbing their elbows raw with others. You know, enough with the elbows. Let’s get on with the stuff here. If you want the real “newsy” stuff, there’s another website for that.
The Lofts at the Municipal is a big investment into Downtown Lafayette. It has close to 70 residential units and plenty of amenities that make living there pretty pleasant; like the nice pool area for example. There is also a nice lobby with a pool table, that one game with all of the loose sand and the little metal disk thingy that you slide from one side to the other, and a kitchenette. There is also a fitness room, media room(aka Court Room), indoor bike racks, indoor storage space, a loft in the lobby for hanging out with friends outside of your apartment, a pet spa, and a list of other cool things. Ultimately, this is great for Downtown Lafayette and those who are young professionals looking to be a bit more plugged into the Downtown lifestyle.
