The Bullrito’s franchise, a somewhat known company by many in Lafayette has been acquired by the family of local Urbano’s Taqueria to expand in the restaurant market. Bullrito’s has 3 locations in Louisiana, 2 of which are located in Lafayette. The family that owns Urbano’s has acquired the rights for the Louisiana franchise and have big plans for Bullrito’s in Lafayette. The first plan of action, closing the Johnston Street location and opening a second Urbano’s Taqueria, Urbano’s 2. This plan also includes relocating that Bullrito’s to a new place in Broussard, but a location has yet to be nailed down. The second part of the plan is to improve the image that Bullrito’s has in Lafayette by encouraging interactive & competitive challenges in hopes to draw in more youthful, social savvy customers. The family at Urbano’s has many more exciting things planned for this new venture, we will just have to wait and see.
