A TEDx Conference called TEDxVermilionStreet is coming to Lafayette this September. Lead Organizer, Taylor Sloey says that they are searching for speaker applications & volunteers for the event. TEDx is an independently organized TED event. TED is an acronym for Technology, Entertainment & Design, but also involve scientific, cultural, and academic topics. The TED conference was founded in 1984 and has headquarters in NY, NY & Vancouver, British Columbia. Many of the TEDx Conferences are based around a theme and it appears that the Lafayette theme is “Je ne sais quoi”, which means “I don’t know what”.
