A new fast-casual restaurant called Bun’s is coming soon to the former Morain’s Coffee location at 2424 Ambassador Caffery Parkway in Lafayette, LA.
The building has been several restaurants over the years, including Morain’s Coffee, Smitty’s Wings, Hardee’s, KFC, and others.

Bun’s is a Baton Rouge-based restaurant that features specialty burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, chicken wings, and other fast-casual options. According to the company’s website, the restaurant preps its meats in-house and bakes its bread daily.
The menu includes traditional burgers, smashburgers, specialty burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, Buffalo wings, honey wings, egg rolls, shrimp baskets, and salads. Dessert options include cheesecake and specialty dessert jars called CanCakes.

I am adding some “food” photos to this post, but be aware that all of the photos from this company’s website is seemingly ai-generated or ai-altered, according to our ai-image-verification-thingamabob. I am pretty forgiving when it comes to ai use. However, when it comes to representing a product, especially food, I feel that those photos should be of the actual product without ai-intervention. If you go to their Facebook page “Bun’s BR”, they have a few videos that are not Ai-generated and the food looks really good!
The restaurant also has an interesting logo featuring a large mouth with its tongue sticking out, similar in appearance to the well-known Rolling Stones tongue-and-lips logo.
Bun’s currently operates a location on Siegen Lane in Baton Rouge.
There is no confirmed opening date that we know of, but it looks to be getting close to be completed. Especially now that signage has been installed on the building.
