Southern Heights Townhomes, a new 20-residence development at 100 Southern Heights Drive, Lafayette, LA, just off Frem Boustany Drive directly across from St. Thomas More Catholic High School (STM), has completed its first phase of residences.
See below for in-person tour info.
The new development is being built by the Stoma and Cortez families, both with longstanding ties to the Lafayette area. The families worked with local architect Tim Greene of Azalea Design Studio to create a community centered around thoughtful design, quality materials, and lower-maintenance living.

The Stoma family is also known locally through Sofas & Chairs in the Costco center. That background in furniture, craftsmanship, and interior design carries into several elements of the new Southern Heights project.
Once complete, Southern Heights will include 14 two-bedroom townhomes, four one-bedroom townhomes, and two three-bedroom residences.
The homes are designed for buyers looking for many of the finishes and features typically associated with a custom-built home, but with a more manageable residential footprint. Interiors feature full-height architectural windows, white oak flooring, custom wood cabinetry, and Cosentino Dekton surfaces throughout.

Kitchens include stainless steel appliances, natural gas cooktops, custom cabinetry, oversized walk-in pantries, and plenty of counter and prep space.
Primary suites feature double vanities, custom cabinetry, freestanding garden tubs, private water closets, and walk-in showers finished with full-slab Dekton.
Each townhome also includes a fully enclosed garage, private rear patio, fenced yard, guest parking, and an elevated balcony with Trex decking and a modern glass railing system. Select residences within the development also include waterfront views.

Through the Stoma family’s furniture business, homeowners have access to specially priced furniture packages created for Southern Heights residences. Buyers can choose to take the guesswork out of furnishing a new home and purchase a professionally coordinated furniture package at a discounted rate. Residences may even be purchased fully furnished. It is a natural extension of the vision behind Southern Heights: making beautiful living not only luxurious, but easy.
The project is intended to offer a more turnkey style of homeownership for residents who want newer construction and upgraded finishes without some of the maintenance associated with a traditional single-family property.

Completed residences at Southern Heights are now available to tour, with additional homes planned as the development continues.
The public can tour Southern Heights during an open house on Friday, October 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
