Last year, I was told that the Subway at 240 Donlon Avenue-just off the Thruway-had caught fire. Due to the damage the building, the restaurant was closed down. For some time, there was no sign of activity on the premises.
Recently I noticed that the Subway is being restored. It is clear that a lot is being done; scaffolding surrounds the restaurant, and new windows have been installed so it is possible to look into the updated space. There is no word on when the location will reopen, but it is good to see that this Subway is bouncing back after an unfortunate accident! Plus, I like a good subway sammich from time to time.
