The new campus will be the academy’s third location, following its existing locations in Lafayette and Broussard.
The new Gifted Early Learning Center will feature 5,220 square feet of outdoor playground space, with an anticipated licensed capacity of 180 students. The academy will offer early childhood education, aftercare programs, and summer camps.

Founded in Lafayette in 2017 by husband-and-wife team Alisha and Tramaine Leday, Gifted Early Learning Academy was established to help prepare young children for elementary school through structured early childhood education.
Alisha spent 16 years in public education as both a teacher and school administrator. During that time, she recognized that many children were entering kindergarten without the foundational skills needed to meet academic expectations.
Together with her husband, Tramaine, whose background includes operations coordination in the oil and gas industry, the couple opened Gifted Early Learning Academy with an emphasis on early academic preparation, social development, and building a strong foundation for future learning.

Over the years, growing enrollment and increasing waitlists have led to expansions at the original Lafayette campus and the Broussard location. According to the owners, many families from the Scott area currently travel to one of the existing campuses, helping drive the decision to establish a third location closer to those families.
The new Scott campus will continue the academy’s focus on preparing children to enter elementary school at or above grade-level expectations.
Enrollment for the Scott location is scheduled to begin November 1, 2026, with the new facility expected to open in August 2027.
