Park Lane, a locally owned formalwear boutique specializing in evening wear and special occasion styling, has opened its new location inside the former Café Vermilionville building at 1304 W. Pinhook Road in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Owned by Kerci McRae-Champagne, the move for Park Lane into the former Café Vermilionville brings new life to the longtime restaurant property. The building has undergone renovations to accommodate the growing formalwear boutique while preserving much of the historic property’s original character.

As part of the renovation, the former restaurant kitchen has been transformed into a full showroom complete with dressing rooms. Other areas of the building have also been renovated to provide additional showroom space and dressing rooms. All renovations have been made within the guidelines of the historic preservation process.
One of the more recognizable areas of the former restaurant, the main dining room, has been left untouched. Many will remember the stained wood, large decorative windows, and double-sided fireplace that made the space so memorable. According to McRae-Champagne, there are plans to preserve this portion of the building as well.

The exterior of the property also remains largely unchanged, with the addition of an ADA-accessible ramp being the only modification so far.
Park Lane was originally founded in 2013 before McRae-Champagne purchased and reimagined the business in January 2023. Since then, the boutique has grown from an appointment-only styling experience into a full-hour retail store, creating the need for more space.

For McRae-Champagne, keeping the business in Lafayette was an important part of its next chapter.
“Lafayette is a city unlike any other, it has such a unique culture and a real appreciation for celebrating life’s special moments,” she shared. “The support for local businesses here is incredible, and as Park Lane continued to grow, it was important to me that our next chapter and expansion happened right here in Lafayette.”
Park Lane officially opened its new location on October 1, 2026.
