Tropical Smoothie Cafe is now open in Youngsville at 1821 Chemin Metairie Parkway, taking over the former Zorba’s location.

The national fast-casual restaurant is known for its made-to-order smoothies and food menu that includes wraps, flatbreads, quesadillas, sandwiches, salads, and breakfast items. The brand has also expanded its lineup with smoothie bowls, including açaí-based options and other fruit-forward bowl offerings.
During a recent visit, local franchise owner BJ Crist said bowls are already gaining traction at the Youngsville location, adding to the brand’s core smoothie lineup that features a mix of fruit blends, topping options, and add-ins like protein and supplements.
My actual meal
While visiting the new Youngsville location in early April, we couldn’t leave without getting our favorite wrap, the Thai Chicken, and our favorite smoothie, the Açaí Berry Boost. The staff suggested that I add in peanut butter to the smoothie and that it would taste like PB&J. They were not wrong! We also tried an açaí bowl, which was amazing! In fact, every açaí bowl I’ve ever had has been good, honestly.

The Youngsville location is the franchise group’s ninth location, with the Broussard site expected to follow as location number 10. Crist said the strategy is to continue building locations within close proximity to increase convenience and overall brand visibility across the area.
