The Cajun Table Boil & Geaux, a new location for the local company is coming soon at 6974 Johnston Street in Lafayette—formerly B Poppa P’s property.
The new site will operate as a drive-thru-only crawfish concept focused on fast, off-premise service.
Founded in May of 2015, The Cajun Table will continue to operate its original Lafayette location at 4510 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Suites C & D, just a few doors down from Club4 Fitness and Aldi. The company has built a large regional following of more than 45,000 and is consistently one of the most referenced crawfish spots in the Acadiana area.
The family-owned business operates its own crawfish ponds, allowing it to control quality and supply. That structure has also made it one of the first sit-down restaurants in the region to regularly offer crawfish at the start of the season, even when availability is limited elsewhere.
Provided Rendering
The new Boil & Geaux location on Johnston Street will offer boiled crawfish along with non-alcoholic bottled beverages. Alcohol service may be added in the future but will not be available when the location opens.
The property includes a stand-alone drive-thru building with an attached boil house, allowing crawfish to be cooked on site and served directly through the drive-thru without an interior dining area.
Exterior artwork for the building is being created by Bridget C. Lavergne Mural & Sign Art.
Tentatively, the new Boil & Geaux will open in February.
