Genterie Supply Co., the longtime boutique located at 408 Jefferson Street in Downtown Lafayette, is now under new ownership.
Earlier this month, the business and its old-world building were purchased by neighborhood friends: Trish and Jacques Guillot, Alison and Glen Moores, and Hollie White.
The new owners all live in the same neighborhood and became friends over the years. For Trish, the purchase is special. “Genterie has always been one of my favorite boutiques in Lafayette,” she said. “When the opportunity came up to buy the business, the building was also available.”
The name Genterie will remain, holding onto its established reputation in the community. Inside, the boutique now reflects a refreshed energy. The layout has been reworked to create a natural flow, while the aesthetic strikes a balance between rustic character and modern boutique design. The atmosphere feels curated yet approachable, with textures of exposed brick, warm wood accents, and soft industrial lighting shaping the space.
The selection has also been updated, with new men’s and more women’s clothing, along with accessories, gifts, and lifestyle pieces that add to the boutique’s eclectic feel. More than just racks of apparel, the store’s overall vibe blends contemporary style with a sense of comfort, making it a place where shoppers can slow down and enjoy the experience.
The new ownership transition marks a new chapter for one of downtown’s staple retailers, while keeping the inviting aesthetic that has long made Genterie a Lafayette favorite.
