Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, coming soon to 3550 NE Evangeline Thruway in Carencro, has officially started construction with dirt work underway at the site.
Located along I-49 just north of Gloria Switch, in front of the Center Square shopping center, this new restaurant will be the first Walk-On’s for the North Lafayette region. It’s also one of the first locations in the brand’s lineup to showcase Walk-On’s newest prototype design.

The updated prototype trims the building footprint to about 5,300–5,500 square feet, nearly half the size of the original model. It introduces modern touches like enhanced acoustics, strategically placed TVs for better game-day viewing, and a dedicated to-go space for added convenience.
Even with the new layout, guests can still expect the same Walk-On’s atmosphere—a family-friendly setting with a lively, sports-focused vibe. The menu features Louisiana-inspired dishes including hand-pattied burgers, fresh seafood, po’boys, boudin balls, waffle cheese fries, and more, along with specialty cocktails and local craft beers.

Previously reported, this location is being developed by Ten Eight Concepts, LLC, a locally owned franchise group led by Tony Caballero, Janelle Dufrene, Keegan Lanier, and Cody Vercher. Their portfolio includes 10 Walk-On’s locations across the region, not including the former Broussard location.
No official completion date has been announced just yet, but projects of this size typically take about 6 to 8 months. If all goes as planned, Carencro’s Walk-On’s could open in mid-to-late 2026.
