A new locally owned coffee shop and café, called Noni’s Coffee & Eats, is coming soon at 2424 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Noni’s will serve up a full menu of espresso drinks, frappes, fresh-brewed coffee, and scratch, made in-house, not microwaved from frozen food items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The menu will include southern-style breakfast staples like fresh-baked biscuits, biscuit sandwiches made with egg, cheese, bacon, sausage, or ham, overnight protein oats, muffins in flavors like blueberry, banana nut, and double chocolate, along with other goodies like cinnamon roll biscuits, blueberry biscuits, and even cochon or boudin in a blanket. I know reading that just made some of y’all’s mouths water. For lunch and dinner, they’ll offer panini-pressed sandwiches with Zapp’s chips, and fresh salads including grilled chicken and chef salads. Additionally, Noni’s will have cupcakes, cake pops, and monthly specialty items throughout the menu to keep choices fresh.
Noni’s will also offer a variety of drinks beyond coffee including juices, milk, fruit-flavored teas, lemonade, and a specialty energy drink line called Nonk’s Nitros, which the owner says are great as a pre-workout boost.

This is the first business venture for Jodi K. Taylor, who currently works as a registered nurse and Operations Coordinator for the Neuro-Stroke unit at Ochsner Lafayette General. “I am a widow with 3 sons and a Havanese daughter (dog),” she says. “We will be making this cafe a family affair.”
Her son, Sidney Morain, will serve as general manager, bringing over five years of restaurant and management experience. Her father, Charles Kelley, and another son, Joseph Morain, will also help manage operations on weekends. Jodi plans to continue her nursing role while also dedicating time to help make the café successful.
“I want my cafe to be known for friendly, courteous service with quality, home-made products. It is my hope for this cafe to be successful and to open more cafes in the Acadiana area to leave as a legacy to my children and grandchildren.”
The team is currently wrapping up final work on the drive-thru area and yard space, and they’ve already posted job openings on ZipRecruiter. They’re hiring cashiers, baristas, cooks, and shift leaders. Walk-in interview days are scheduled for:

Noni’s Coffee & Eats is set to open May 5, 2025 and will operate seven days a week. Once open, the hours will be Monday–Friday: 5AM–8PM and Saturday & Sunday: 6AM–8PM.
