Back in June of last year, we shared info about Super Chix, a Texas-based chicken & custard franchise, coming soon to 2011 Kaliste Saloom Road next to Chimes Restaurant.
Fast forward to today, Super Chix is within days of opening their first Louisiana store in Lafayette, LA!
Founded in 2014 in Arlington, Texas, Super Chix offers a premium dining experience centered around the love of chicken. The company emphasizes a commitment to quality, serving up superior, never-frozen crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches, tenders, and fresh hand-cut seasoned fries. The menu also includes fresh salads made with “top-notch” ingredients and in-store churned, hand-dipped premium frozen custard with a variety of flavors including vanilla and chocolate made with Guittard chocolate. With rotating options such as Strawberry Cheesecake, Cookies n’ Cream, Butterfinger, English Toffee, and Reese’s Peanut Buttercup.
I would have gotten an interior photo for y’all but, the head honcho there would have had to consult with corporate. We know how corporate can be sometimes. Asking all kinds of questions. So we opted to just take photos outside. Just know, it’s a bright, fun interior.

The tentative opening date for Super Chix of Lafayette is set for Monday, September 2nd.
Fun-ish fact: service industry businesses typically choose to open on a Monday as that is typically the slowest day of the week for that industry. This allows them to kind of ease into their flow. But we all know how Lafayette can be; backing up traffic and such for some chicken.
