Louisiana-based furniture retailer, American Factory Direct Furniture(AFD), is expanding to Lafayette Parish with a new 34,000 sq. ft. facility to be constructed at 5611 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy.
Family owned and operated by the Comeaux Family, American Factory Direct Furniture came about after the Original Comeaux’s Appliance Center and Furniture Mart closed in the early 1990s, according to their about us.
“What seemed like a major setback, became one of their greatest blessings: A Third Generation, Family Owned and Operated Furniture Store, American Factory Direct Furniture.”, says AFD.
Currently, AFD has four Louisiana store locations and one Mississippi location. Making Lafayette its fifth LA location and sixth location total.
The project is a build to suit by Tim Bradley and Cliff Guidry, Guidry Land Development. And, the contractor for the project is KENT Design Build.
Tentatively, construction is set to be completed by February 2021; if we ever get to see 2021 at this rate.
