For months, many have been us asking about the new Mouton’s Bar & Food that recently opened at 507 W Pinhook Road, formerly Jolie’s Bistro. We have the story!
Mouton’s Bar & Food is a tribute to Antoine & T-George Mouton, original founders of the Dixie Phonograph Company, for helping propel Mouton’s owner, Preston Guidry, into business in 1968 in the original Uncle Pete’s—now known as the Bulldog.
Themed to the tune of a late 1950’s Bourbon bar, Mouton’s Bar & Food has positioned themselves as a mature hangout. A place that is seemingly less about the visual stimulation of modern bar & grills and more about the face-time experience, pre-smartphone.
If you’re feeling a little hungry, Mouton’s will offer a simple food menu consisting of burgers & gumbo with a rumored occasional steak night. They will also have drink specials along with a large bar tab wheel of fortune on Wednesday’s for which could provide a comped tab.
Mouton’s hours are:
4-9pm Wednesday-Thursday and 4-10 Friday with food, beverages and drink specials.
Saturday-Tuesday Mouton’s is open for inquiries as a venue for rent.
