A little over a year ago, we shared the scattered, smothered, chunked, and peppered news of the new Waffle House(WH) coming soon to Carencro.
As of last week, before ol’ drunk tropical storm Barry showed up, Waffle House started ground work & framing for the new store, located at the 100th block of Hector Connoly & I-49.
Mostly known for being located along major interstate highways, Waffle House has been on a mission to build in all corners of the Lafayette Parish area; starting with Pinhook. Most recently, the new Southside Waffle House, located at 6407 Johnston Street, opened their doors to hangry church folk—including myself; praise be!
Carencro’s new WH makes for the third Lafayette Parish location for the company in the past five years—a pretty rapid expansion, considering the economic climate of Louisiana, especially Lafayette. But when it comes to those buttery waffles and killer hash browns, everyone in the Parish should be able to stumble to a nearby Waffle House, safely. Remember, don’t drink & drive!
I love Waffle House. Why? Because the secret is in those hash browns! Hey WH, want to be an advertising sponsor? 🙂
