Superior Grill Mexican restaurant construction at 2320 Kaliste Saloom Road in Lafayette is making fast pace toward serving up their signature food & drinks.
Okay okay, so we say fast pace because now that construction has officially begun, they are moving fast. We all remember questioning if it was actually still happening not even a year ago because it had seemed like nothing was happening.

In the photos below, you can see that the building is a decent size, much larger than we expected it to be, honestly. The front portion immediately next to Kaliste Saloom Road is clearly the larger outdoor patio dining space where most of the action will be. The rest of the building is interior dining, probably a party room, and of course the kitchen.
If you’re wondering about the old Randol’s sign, it will be replaced, but no clear indication when it will happen and what will happen to the old sign. Surely someone would pay to preserve it.
As for the opening timeframe, we hate to give false hopes but, it’s looking like it could be mid to late August. We will keep tabs and provide more accurate dates as it gets closer.
