Panda Express is planning to open a second Lafayette restaurant to be located near I-10 & Louisiana Ave.
Four years ago, Lafayette got its first taste of the famous Orange Chicken with the opening of Panda Express’ first location at 4531 Ambassador Caffery, on the south side of town. It has obviously been a hit because there is a second proposed location planned for Stirling Center at 200 Ardoin Memorial Drive. That’s the shopping center right off I-10 on Louisiana Avenue, in case you didn’t know that it isn’t named “the other target.”
We do not have any tentative dates yet, heck we don’t even know when they plan on breaking ground, but what we do know is that the permits are in the pending stages. As for the exact geographical placement, the proposed Panda Express restaurant may be constructed between the Capital One Bank and the JC Penny store.
This new Panda Express location is super exciting because of Lafayette’s rapid growth, more of our community will get a taste of the California-based Chinese concept. We are not able to smell the food cooking yet, but we’ll keep you updated on the proposed plans develop.
