Acadiana’s only medical Marijuana dispensary, The Apothecary Shoppe, located at 620 Guilbeau Road in Lafayette, LA, is expanding by building an all-new, 8,000 square-foot state-of-the-art headquarters at 2104 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy, near Dulles Drive, next door to the newly opened Super 1 Foods.
“We have been in business for almost five years, and we’ve learned A LOT in that time. We are Acadiana’s only medical marijuana dispensary, and we do not take that lightly,” said Blair Vidrine, co-owner & Chief Operating Officer of The Apothecary Shoppe. “We have taken feedback from our patients and staff, and believe that this new headquarters facility will address pain points that our current Lafayette facility has, while also offering unmatched and exciting new features and amenities.”
The new headquarters for The Apothecary Shoppe will be approximately 2.5 times larger than the current location and will feature a modern spa-like atmosphere & aesthetic. The new location will also feature a larger showroom, a Flower Room showcasing all flower products where patients can see and smell up close before buying, a drive-thru, walk-up ordering kiosks, express pickup, 14 registers, a private consultation area, and a massive back-of-house space for additional employees for increased productivity. But that’s not all! The Apothecary Shoppe will also feature a Colombian specialty coffee shop offered by NUBE 9, owned by Natalia & Nick Choate.
“We partnered with Natalia and Nick Choate with NUBE 9 Colombian Specialty Coffee to offer our guests some of the best coffee we have ever tried,” said Vidrine.

The expansion of The Apothecary Shoppe doesn’t end there. The company is also expanding into St. Landry Parish with a new location at 4079 I-49 South Service Rd. in Opelousas, Louisiana.
“With our growing patient count, we have been granted a third location by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy,” said Vidrine. “We will be opening location three in Opelousas, allowing for greater patient access north of Lafayette.”
The new Opelousas location will be built from the ground up. It will have features similar to those of their new Iberia location, including a drive-thru, private consultation space, and a showroom for patients to browse products.
