Marco’s Pizza, a national pizza franchise known for its fresh-made dough and Italian-style pizza, is coming soon to 4533 Johnston Street, Building 2, Suite 201 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
The new Lafayette restaurant will be operated by the same franchise group behind the recently opened Marco’s Pizza in Youngsville. Franchisee Kirit “Ken” Patel and managing partner Jay Patel are developing the Marco’s brand throughout the region, with existing locations in Baton Rouge and Youngsville and plans to continue expanding between Lake Charles and Covington.
Marco’s Pizza was founded in Toledo, Ohio, in 1978 and has since grown to more than 1,000 locations across the country. The brand focuses on pizza made with dough prepared fresh in-store each day, along with fresh cheese, meats, and its original pizza sauce recipe.

In addition to pizza, the Lafayette location is also expected to feature a small Fizz Misbehaved Soda concept inside the restaurant. Fizz is a separate drink concept created by Patel that offers customized sodas and specialty drinks, somewhat similar in style to other flavored soda concepts. Patel has already opened a Fizz location near LSU in Baton Rouge.
The new Marco’s location is designed primarily around takeout and delivery, with limited seating available for dine-in customers.
Construction is expected to take about three months, with the new Marco’s Pizza tentatively set to open during the first or second week of December 2026.
