A new linear park may soon be built along a greenbelt area of Camellia Boulevard. The park will feature a fancy gridshell pavilion, seating area and city artwork, which is already part of an active plan for Lafayette. The pavilion is going to be super cool. It’s not your typical pavilion, It is coming straight out of the UL Architecture department, which means it will be artwork in its own right. The whole project is being spearheaded by Geoff Gjertson, a UL architecture professor, so you know this park will be sweet and a nice addition to Camellia.
