The old Lafayette Wholesale Grocery located in Downtown Lafayette is very near completion. If not fully complete.
The building is off of E 2nd Street on Olivier St. Renovation started around the beginning of 2013 or perhaps earlier. It will be used as apartments and will have 15 one – two bedroom apartments. Each with a minimalistic design with clean lines. It is an open concept floor plan with 14-16 foot high ceilings.
The lptfa.org website describes these apartments almost exclusively as artist apartments. I am an artist, I didn’t know we had our own “place”. Lol.
Either way the building looks beautiful and I am sure is really nice on the inside.
