About a year ago, we shared that Jet Coffee signed a lease for the former Johnston Street Java(JSJ) space at 3123 Johnston Street. Today, construction is in full swing.

Founded in Lafayette, Jet Coffee’s growth is nothing short of impressive. Having just completed and opened their 3rd from-ground-up store on Ambassador Caffery in the Ambassador Town Center, Jet Coffee is now on to their next big project to completely renovate the former JSJ space and to turn it into yet another busy Jet location.
The plans for the new Jet Coffee location will feature a fully renovated interior to maximize space & efficiency. As for the exterior, the existing outdoor patio will get a new, full awning cover with large fans making it a much more pleasant outdoor experience for guests. Additionally, as you may have noticed, the drive-thru has been busted up and is being reconstructed to better improve traffic flow. You can get an idea of how it’ll all shape up in the renderings provided in this post.

As for tentative completion and opening date, the 4th Jet location is set to open by late Summer to early Fall of this year. Once open, it is expected to help alleviate some of the traffic from the original Johnston Street location at Camino Real Road.
