We made a visit to the new, second location of Acadian Pawn located at 110 Guilbeau Rd.
The store is clean, well organized, and had several unique items for sale that piqued our interests. Items like vintage action figures, older & newer comics, jewelry, musical instruments, and even larger items like a boat, and an RV. A pawn business wouldn’t be complete without a section of TVs, games & consoles, power tools, and guns.
Acadian Pawn is a local company that has stood the test of time with over 30 years in business in Lafayette. Their original location, 1304 Moss Street, opened in 1987; I was roughly just one year old at that time, haha. Back in 1987, business on the North side of town was booming as the South side of town had not been developed and was mostly fields. Today, as business traffic shifts to more recently developed areas of Lafayette Parish, Acadian Pawn saw the need to open in a more centralized location.
