All Day, A New “all-day” Restaurant is Coming Soon to the Former SoLou space in Lafayette, LA

on

All Day, a new “all-day” dining concept, is coming soon to 1905 Kaliste Saloom Road in Lafayette, LA, taking over the former SoLou restaurant space in Parc Lafayette.

We first spotted the “coming soon” banner at the property last week. While taking photos that same day, we received an email from All Day with details about the concept. When things line up like that, it’s a rare moment—typically, we’re digging for information or reaching out to multiple contacts trying to piece things together. But this one came together naturally. Honestly, it felt a little divine. Now, let’s hope the concept matches that same energy.

“Not a breakfast spot. Not a bar. A place built around the full arc of the day.”

According to the information provided to us, instead of focusing on a single meal period, like brunch, lunch or dinner, All Day is designed to operate across the full day…err All Day. The menu shifts from coffee and breakfast in the morning to lunch, dinner, and cocktails later in the day, with an emphasis on creating a space where customers can stop in briefly or stay for while to wind down.

Morning hours will feature espresso drinks, grab-and-go pastries, breakfast tacos, egg sandwiches, and shrimp and grits, which will be available all day. Lunch and dinner options expand into dishes like BBQ shrimp, ahi tuna, queso flameado, honey fried goat cheese salad, lobster rolls, spicy vodka pasta, and bacon-wrapped crab stuffed shrimp.

“All Day is the kind of place Lafayette has been missing: welcoming and built for the kind of people who actually want to show up and stay a while.”

The almighty brunch service will feature items such as crab cake benedict, lemon poppyseed pancakes, chilaquiles, breakfast burritos, enchiladas, and biscuits with andouille gravy.

The wet stuff, aka beverages, is designed to mirror the all-day approach, starting with coffee service and transitioning into a full cocktail lineup later in the day. See drink menu below.

All Day is also placing a focus on gluten-free options, with all fried items prepared gluten-free and most menu items able to be modified, along with measures in place to reduce cross-contamination.

Tentatively, All Day is expected to open in late May.
