1920’s Themed Speakeasy Bar & Italian Restaurant Coming Soon To Lafayette

on

A new, Locally-owned, 1920’s themed speakeasy bar & restaurant, called Capone’s, is coming soon to the new McLain Marketplace shopping center at 819 E Broussard Road.

Capone’s Drinkery & Eats will be heavily centered around the roaring twenties’ prohibition era. Imagine being in an old New York City gangster’s club with heavy curtains, pillowed furniture, dark hardwood tables, low-lit Edison bulbs(maybe candles), and art deco-inspired decor with an industrial feel; that is how Capone’s is being designed.

According to the Capone’s facebook, facebook.com/caponesdrinkeryandeats, the attire will be dressy, which is unique in Lafayette these days.

A tentative opening date is being planned for early 2019, sooner if things work out that way.

See post about the new shopping center, McLain Marketplace (here).

Below are photos that the Capone’s Facebook page has showing the inspiration for the restaurant.
