The LGMC owned hospital, University Hospital & Clinics, is getting a fresh coat of paint. UHC is located at the corner of Bertrand & Congress. Over the past couple of weeks, they have completed the rear portion of the Hospital in a stark white paint. Crews are now starting to paint the front portion of the Hospital, which will take another week, or so. Bobby Jindal even made an appearance to view the renovations and new paint work. Updated info via JMA Painters:
1. Building needed to be Waterproofed due to age of existing sealant (currently just a clear).
2. UMC recently became part of LGMC and needed to reflect consistent color scheme of LGMC properties.
The Contract duration is 12 months, expecting to complete Feb/March, 6 months ahead of schedule. Will use approximately 3,000 gallons of sealant/coating. The coating is similar to that of what the Superdome has. Something that should be considered for the Cajundome roof when repainting.
