Primo’s Bowl & Burrito Factory is coming soon to 209 Centre Sarcelle Boulevard, Suite 100, in Youngsville’s Metairie Centre, taking over the former Lit Pizza space.
The new fast-casual restaurant will serve fresh, made-to-order burritos, bowls, tacos, and other customizable options for lunch, dinner, or a quick meal on the go. The concept appears to follow a similar format to restaurants such as Chipotle or Izzo’s, allowing customers to build their meal by selecting their proteins, toppings, and other ingredients.

Known as Spicy Rico Mexican Grill in Sulphur, LA, the concept is expanding into Youngsville under the new Primo’s Bowl & Burrito Factory name. While the branding is new, the restaurant already has an established following in SWLA.
Lit Pizza originally opened its Youngsville location in the Metairie Centre during the middle of 2020 before closing in 2025. The restaurant space is already largely built out for food service, which could help Primo’s move through the development process more quickly than it would in a completely unfinished retail space.
Of course, some equipment changes, interior updates, signage, and other modifications will likely happen before the restaurant is ready to open.
An official opening date for Primo’s Bowl & Burrito Factory has not yet been announced. However, considering the existing restaurant buildout, we estimate that the new Youngsville location could potentially open within the next 2 to 4 months.
There is no known social media or website for Primo’s, but for more information follow Spicy Rico on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/share/19WD4L4Dj1/?mibextid=wwXIfr.
