Blazin’ Hot Chicken, a Louisiana-based Nashville hot chicken concept, is coming soon to the former Wendy’s location at 1240 Albertson Parkway in Broussard, Louisiana.
The fast-casual restaurant specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken, a spicy fried chicken concept known for its seasoned coating and varying heat levels. The brand was founded by Louisiana natives with the goal of bringing bold, spicy chicken flavors to the local market, and has been expanding across the region.

Blazin’ Hot Chicken’s menu centers around crispy chicken tenders, sandwiches, and wings, typically served with sides like fries, pickles, and house-made sauces. Customers can choose from multiple spice levels ranging from mild to extremely hot, allowing for a customizable heat experience.
Signature menu items often include combo meals featuring tenders with waffle fries and toast, along with specialty items like the mac and cheese crunchwrap, and loaded fries.

The Broussard location is renovating the former Wendy’s building along Albertson Parkway & Hwy 90, a well-traveled commercial corridor, especially with the recently completed Highway 90 overpasses expected to further increase traffic along this stretch. The site is also connected to a gas station, which fits with a pattern seen in other local Blazin’ Hot Chicken locations that have utilized former restaurant spaces tied to convenience store.
The concept continues to grow in Louisiana, with additional locations still coming across the region.
An official opening timeline for the Broussard location has not yet been announced.
