A new “library” called The Jefferson Street Library is coming soon to Downtown Lafayette at 222 Jefferson Street, formerly home to Bolt nightclub.
Expect to read—and to be read—at the new Jefferson Street Library (JSL). As Lafayette’s newest LGBTQ+ lounge, JSL will offer a safe, inclusive nightlife spot.

Providing space for community and expression, the Jefferson Street Library will feature an elevated cocktail bar with bottle service, a performance stage for live entertainment, cozy lounge areas, VIP booth rentals, a dance floor, downtowns first 8’ x 13.5’ LED TV wall, and yes, even books! It’s a library, after all.

This announcement comes shortly after Bolt nightclub officially closed its doors in the same space. Bolt had hinted at something new in the works following the closure, sparking a wave of rumors about a possible new location. To clear things up: a former owner of Bolt is now a co-owner of JSL.
The Jefferson Street Library is expected to open Friday, April 25th at 5 PM.
