A local membership dog park & pub is coming soon to the area between Albertsons on Johnston Street and Cajundome Blvd. Exact address withhold until contracts, etc are signed.
The name of Lafayette’s first membership dog park is called Barkopolis Park + Pub. It will be a paid membership dog park that will be accessible from the first light of day until the early morning hours. The starting price per member(dog) is $150 annually, $20 monthly, or $5 for a day pass. Additional dogs in the same family will pay a rate of $35/$5/$3.
You’re probably wondering; why the heck would I pay to bring my dog to a park? Barkopolis actually verifies that each dog is current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and well behaved before becoming a member. Have questions? Visit the active Reddit thread (here) to get them answered.
