Super Chix, a New Chicken Franchise Is Coming Soon With Its First-Ever Louisiana Location in Lafayette


A new chicken-based franchise, called Super Chix, is coming soon to Lafayette, Louisiana next to the under-construction Chimes Restaurant & Tap Room at the 2000 Block of Kaliste Saloom Road & Camellia Blvd.

“We are super into chicken,” the company’s website says. “We think it’s just about the most perfect food in the world.”

Founded in 2014 in Arlington, Texas, Super Chix offers a premium dining experience centered around the love of chicken. The company emphasizes a commitment to quality, serving up superior, never-frozen crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches, tenders, and fresh hand-cut seasoned fries. The menu also includes fresh salads made with “top-notch” ingredients and in-store churned, hand-dipped premium frozen custard with a variety of flavors including vanilla and chocolate made with Guittard chocolate. With rotating options such as Strawberry Cheesecake, Cookies n’ Cream, Butterfinger, English Toffee, and Reese’s Peanut Buttercup.

Super Chix is part of Power Brands Hospitality Group (PBHG), a reputable owner and operator of multiple restaurant brands including popular brands like Five Guys, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Cinnabon, Nothing But Noodles, and Schlotzsky’s.

According to, Super Chix signed a franchise development agreement back in early 2022 for at least 5 restaurants in the Jefferson Parish, Lafayette Parish, and St. Tammany Parish markets in Louisiana.

The 8,000-square-foot building shell that will house Super Chix is under construction and will also house other unnamed tenants. The tentative completion date for the building shell only is set for September. From that point, Super Chix and other tenants will begin their individual buildouts.
