The old Shoney’s restaurant, located at 2209 NE Evangeline Thruway, is seeing some cleanup. The shrubbery is being groomed and a few good men have been seen clearing the parking lot.
We checked some public records and have come up empty, for now.
This cleanup could be leading up to two possible outcomes. One, they are gearing up to attempt the sale of the former restaurant or two, someone bought it and is cleaning it up. Either way, we have been hoping for something to happen with this building—anything really. Looks like we may see something in the near future instead of a truck parking lot.
