The ground work for the new Health & Sciences building for SLCC – South Louisiana Community College has begun. A couple of months ago, SLCC expanded parking on the side of their main building to allow for the new building to be built. Today, we noticed major demolition work happening to the front parking area facing Bertrand Drive. They are removing all of the existing concrete in order to lay new foundation down. This is pretty exciting for both the community & SLCC. It will allow for so much more amenities that will promote healthy learning for those attending the school.
