We normally don’t promote events but, this event, “Downtown Rising”, is a special annual event that will celebrate the renewed life that Lafayette’s downtown area is seeing. Many new changes, developments, and businesses are moving into the downtown area, so an event that celebrates that is right up our alley.

Downtown Rising:
“Downtown Lafayette is experiencing an exciting resurgence, as people from all over Acadiana and beyond discover—and rediscover—all that our downtown district has to offer. There’s no denying we’re on the rise, and we want to keep the renewed energy and vibrancy growing with an annual celebration. We call it Downtown Rising. Every year we’ll come together for a huge Summer party featuring a national music act in the heart of Downtown Lafayette, where we’ll toast how far we’ve come and fuel the progress that will continue transforming our downtown district into a world-class city center. ”
Downtown Rising’s inaugural event features the nationally renouned alternative rock band The Revivalists, featuring special guests Sweet Crude and DJ Digital!
Downtown Rising is scheduled to take place at Parc International in Downtown Lafayette on Thursday, May 30th. Gates open at 5pm. The event concludes at 10pm.
