on

A new office project being built at the corner of 206 La Rue France and Rue Jean Lafitte will become home to Lafayette-based Leading Health Care of Louisiana, a company that employs more than 2,000 people throughout the state of Louisiana.

The new building will be a two-story facility with approximately 20,000 square feet. The architect for the project is Lynn Guidry Architect from Carencro, and the general contractor is Master Builders & Specialists from Lafayette.

Tentative completion is anticipated during the Summer of 2020.

Press Release continues — Leading Health Care (LHCL) was established in September 1997 to help people live better lives with exemplary in-home care services. The company has dedicated its mission to hiring caring and compassionate caregivers to ensure individuals receive care and comfort in their own homes, rather than in institutionalized settings or nursing homes. This has been the major draw for clients and families who need help and care with their loved ones and is the major factor behind the company’s growth.  Leading Health Care now has offices in seven cities throughout Louisiana.

“In-home care is the preferred option for long-term care for elderly and disabled individuals,” said Matthew Rovira, chief executive officer of Leading Health Care. “Our services enable recipients to maximize independence and quality of life in a community-based setting.”

In addition to Medicaid Waiver Services, LHCL has been successful in growing its client base among the elder and senior population who own Long Term Care Insurance policies, and to Veterans through the VA’s Homemaker and Home Health Aide programs. The company is proud to serve those who have served our country, allowing Veterans to remain living in their own homes while receiving assistance with activities of daily living.

“Our growth throughout the State is directly attributable to the quality of caregivers and administrative staff that live our company values each and every day,” said Ken Smalling, chief strategy officer for LHCL. “We personally staff all our clients from local offices versus other companies that use out-of-state call centers. We have a dedicated nursing team to develop individualized care plans, and every client is assigned their own client care manager.”

Smalling said the individualized care plans, local-office presence, and quality caregiving is what separates Leading Health Care from every other company and makes their company the employer of choice among the caregiving community.
