Mel’s Diner on 2956 Johnston has been in need of a renovation/redesign for some time. Just recently, a permit was issued for the redesign of Mel’s, as well as the final touches of the Winnwood shopping center renovation. Winnwood has been a poppin place these past couple of years with all of the new tenants that have come on board after renovations. The redesign of Mel’s would just be the cherry on top of an improved center. You can see a proposed artistic rendering of below.
