Local Silk Floral Rental Company, Something Borrowed Blooms Expands To Larger Warehouse As Business Grows

on

Something Borrowed Blooms(SBB), a local—online-based—silk floral rental company, recently expanded into a 4,000 sq. ft. warehouse located at 102 Max Drive in Northern Lafayette Parish.

Something Borrowed Blooms was founded in October of 2015 as a home-based, Acadiana business in which Lauren Bercier & Laken Swan, co-founders, operated. Over the past couple of years, SBB’s growth quickly accelerated from about 10 weddings a month to well over 200 weddings each month, as of October 2018. This type of growth in a smaller space made for tighter working conditions due to increased inventory & packaging queue space. Not to mention a few warm bodies heating up a tiny room.

The larger warehouse will alleviate some of the growing pains as Something Borrowed Blooms increases their inventory, both loose stems (unfinished) and rental products (finished). Production capabilities are also increased for an expected order volume well into the thousands per month by the end of 2019. The move also provides SBB the ability to create more jobs as the demand for increased production becomes a reality. There is also room to expand the building if that need arises.
