Former Hurricane Wings Becoming Bentley’s Beach Fare Restaurant

on

The former Hurricane Grill & Wings, at 3546 Ambassador, is currently undergoing renovations to become a new, beach fare restaurant.

The name of the new restaurant will be called, Bentley’s. Named after one of the partners, Bentley Suire, who formerly owned The Filling Station in Downtown Lafayette at 900 Jefferson Street.

Bentley, along with another partner & friend, Chuck Emfinger — owner of Louisiana Poboys — are working hard to get the new restaurant open yesterday! Okay, so maybe in a week or two, but the guys really wanted it open already. However, they are waiting for approval for the sale of alcohol, because most people do not beach without their drink in-hand.

As for food, Bentley’s will serve ‘Beach Fare’, which consist of a variety of dishes, like shrimp, tilapia, grouper, surf & turf, wings, burgers, and steaks. Bentley’s will serve prime cuts of beef, just as he did while running the popular spot in downtown. You can expect such cuts of beef to be, 10oz ribeye, and filet.

When it comes to the decor of the former grill restaurant, Bentley & friends are keeping much of the original “beach” feel, but are changing key elements to better fit their desired atmosphere. Some of the decor changes will be, a resurfaced bar-top with a beach sand inlay, brighter artwork, and a private outside seating area so that their “beachgoers” can enjoy their dining experience without the view of a parking lot.
